Are you a teenager and wanting to work? Being ambition is highly attractive personality. Starting working young can give you additional life skills and money!

What are the rules surrounding working as a teenager:

·       From the age of 13 you can legally work 12 hours a week and a maximum of 5 hours on a Saturday.

·       If you are under 16 you are not allowed to work school hours, or more than 2 hours on a weekday, and no working before 7am and after 7pm. You are not entitled to the national minimum wage.

·       By 16 you can work a 8 hour shift on a Saturday and are entitled to the national minimum wage of £5.28 an hour for 16-17 year olds, and £5.28 if you are an apprentice.

·       After 16 years old you should still be in a form of education and not working over 40 hours a week, with shifts longer than 8 hours. You are entitled to 12 hours rest between shifts and 2 days rest a week.

·       When you are 18 you are classed as an adult and will have no work restrictions and your wage will be £7.49 until you are 20 years old, this will go up when you are 22 to £10.18 per hour.

7: Gardening (Perfect for those who are elderly and disabled and struggle to manage their gardens)

8: Artist (Selling art and crafts)

9: Tutoring younger children.

10: Video editor for small business and creators.
